How far in advance should I order my Tour Package?
To ensure availability of your preferred accommodations, we recommend purchasing your Diverse Directions tour as far in advance as possible. For regular season tours, four to six weeks advance purchase is advisable. For foliage season and holiday week tours a minimum 60-day advance purchase is strongly encouraged.
However, we can often accommodate customers in as few as 5 to 10 days.
Does DIverse Directions have a tour schedule that I need to follow?
No. You may begin AND end your tour on the date of your choosing. You may also add as many “rest days” to your itinerary as you desire.
Our tour season begins May 1 and ends October 31.
What will be the cost of my Tour Package?
The cost of your Tour Package is largely based on the number of baggage transfer days. The base price of a 3 day circuit tour is $225 per person. The cost of a 4 day circuit tour is $275 per person. The base price of Hub & Spoke Tours is $175 per person.
The cost of bike rental is based on the number of days in which you are in possession of your bike. The base rental rate is $25 per day, per bike, plus 6% Vermont Sales / Use Tax.
SAG support is included when you rent your bicycles from Diverse Directions. Otherwise, a $25.00 charge per person per SAG applies.
The cost of vehicle parking depends upon the starting point of your tour; the price range however, is $5 to $15 per day.
Under certain circumstances, additional charges may apply (for example, should you have time to do only 3 stages of a 4 stage tour, an additional charge will apply to shuttle you and your baggage back to your vehicle at your tour’s starting point).
How do I place my order?
To order your tour you’ll need to complete the secure, online Tour Order Form specific to your chosen tour itinerary. Before completing the order form you’ll want to identify your first, second and third choice accommodation preferences for each overnight destination, as you will specify these on the order form. See Accommodations for options.
Upon receipt of your order we’ll confirm availability of the accommodations you’ve chosen and email a comprehensive order confirmation. Once we have confirmed your order and received your approval to proceed with processing, your tour documentation package will be assembled, mailed to you, and your deposit or payment in-full will be charged to your credit card.
How do I pay for my Tour Package?
We accept Visa and MasterCard. When ordering, you will be asked to provide credit card information. However, your credit card will not charged until, we have confirmed your order, secured your accommodations AND mailed your Tour Documentation.
When do I pay for my Tour Package, Bike Rental, etc.?
For tours ordered more than 60 days in advance of your tour’s start date, a deposit equal to 25% of the total amount due is payable at the time your Tour Documentation is mailed. Deposits are non-refundable. Balances are due 60 days prior to the tour’s start date.
For tours ordered less than 60 days in advance, the total amount due is payable at the time your Tour Documentation is mailed.
Does Diverse Directions offer Group Rates?
Our standard tour prices apply to groups consisting of two, three or four persons 17 years of age or older. For larger groups, discounts may apply. Please inquire prior to ordering.

What is the Diverse Directions cancellation policy?
For cancellations received more than 60 days before the tour’s scheduled start date tour participants receive a refund of any amount paid in excess of the deposit paid.
For cancellations received 60 to 31 days before a tour’s scheduled start date tour participants receive a refund of the amount paid to date, less the required deposit amount and a $100 per person administration and handling fee.
For cancellations received 30 or fewer days before a tour’s scheduled start date (including no shows) tour participants receive no refunds.
Any amount NOT refunded may be applied to the cost of tours purchased within 18 months following the cancellation.
Regarding the cancellation of accommodations, you will be subject to the cancellation policy of each establishment at which you have a room reservation.
How do I pay for my accommodations?
Because some establishments required a deposit at the time a reservation is made, Diverse Directions will provide your innkeepers with the credit card information you’ve provided us when placing your order for that purpose. Then, at the time of check-out, you will pay any remaining balance directly to your innkeepers.
