The
White House Inn
Built in 1915 as the summer home of a lumber baron, the White House
Inn is a Victorian mansion with 25 guest rooms offering an elegant yet relaxed
atmosphere. Situated
on the crest of a high, rolling hill surrounded by towering hardwoods and formal flower gardens,
there is a lovely view from every room. Rooms are beautifully furnished and
well-appointed and all include a private bath. Nine rooms are equipped with
fireplaces, six with balconies or terraces, and four with large whirlpool tubs.
Breakfast is served daily in the Inn's dining room.
The lower level of the inn has been transformed into an invigorating spa, which includes a sauna, and a small, indoor heated
swimming pool.
Other
amenities include an award winning fine dining restaurant.
Since the White House is located
somewhat outside the village of Wilmington to the east, other dining options
will require a short bicycle ride.

The Nutmeg Country Inn

Built in 1777, the Nutmeg Country Inn offers eight lovely accommodations (four
suites and 4 standard rooms) on two acres of beautiful green meadows. Despite
its age, the inn has retained many of its original architectural details including exposed beams, original tin ceilings, old doors,
dormer ceilings and wood floors. All rooms feature private baths with 2 person
whirlpool tubs, and are nicely furnished with antiques, original period artwork
and luscious fabrics. A full gourmet breakfast is served daily.
The comfortable common room invites you to relax by the crackling fire, share tea and cookies with others,
enjoy a quiet spot in one of

The Red Shutter Inn

Built in 1894
by Joseph Courtemanche, a blacksmith and carriage maker who made his fortune as the visionary who built the first electric
power plant in the valley, the Red Shutter Inn is a handsome colonial mansion
and carriage house offering two suites and seven rooms.
The mansion has tall ceilings throughout and a lovely living room with fireplace
and cozy conversation areas. Off of the living room is the Cocktail Bar with its original tin ceiling,
and an excellent Restaurant..
All suites and guest rooms feature private baths, and lovely country
furnishings. Depending upon the suite / room, other amenities may include fireplaces, 2-person
whirlpool tubs, views, cable TV with VCR and A/C. Breakfast is served daily in
the restaurant.
Amenities of the inn include a restaurant
offering fine country cuisine and in-house massage
services. The restaurant is open for dinner on Thursday through Sunday only;
since the Inn is located within the village of Wilmington, numerous dining

The Crafts Inn
Designed by one of the preeminent architects of
the time, the inn was built in 1904 to accommodate area visitors staying for an
extended period.
The inn is a large complex offering
many one bedroom and two bedroom suites all with complete kitchens and private
baths. Breakfast is not served. Amenities of the Inn include indoor pool, sauna,
hot tub, and racquetball court.
The Crafts Inn is located in the
heart of the village of Wilmington and therefore, numerous dining options exist
a very short walk of the Inn. Groceries for meal preparation in your suite can
be purchased at Shaw's Market, also a short walk from the inn.

The Vermont House

Located in the very heart of the village of Wilmington, the Vermont House has offered hospitality to travelers since its opening in 1864 as a stagecoach stop.
Its eight rooms are modestly appointed and feature TV/VCR, CD players,
and goose down comforters. Breakfast is not included in the rates. Amenities of
the Vermont House include a pastry shop, and a full service restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner

The Old Red Mill Inn
Built in 1903 by the Choate Manufacturing Company for the purpose
of milling lumber for school desks, the Old Red Mill Inn offers clean and
simply-appointed accommodations to skiers and summer sojourners. All rooms have

breakfast is served daily.
