Accommodations Arrangements
Diverse Directions secures your reservations at the overnight accommodations of
your choice. See our Accommodations page for the complete list of options.
The cost of your
overnight accommodations is not included in the price of your Diverse Directions
Tour Package.
Unlike most tour companies, Diverse
Directions does not limit your options to a single type or category of
accommodation. You may choose any combination of accommodation types or
categories, leaving you free to splurge some nights, while economizing on
others. For this reason, Diverse Directions does not bundle the cost of
accommodations into the tour's price, as do most tour companies. Instead, you
pay each lodging provider upon checkout.
Baggage Transfer
For customers staying at inns, B&Bs, and hotels, Diverse Directions will transport one piece of luggage and one carry-on bag per person from / to the hotels at which you have confirmed reservations. Additional
items may be transported for an additional cost.
For customers who are camping, we will transport these same items, plus your camping gear.
On-Road Support
Enjoy the peace of mind that comes from knowing that help is just a phone call away. Should you experience a mechanical breakdown, you simply call
your local Support Team Manager at Diverse Directions for assistance. Note: Flat tires are not covered under the support program.
As part of our On-Road Support, we'll "sweep" your route at least twice each
scheduled cycling day to ensure all is well, to answer questions, and to provide
water, snacks, and basic first-aid supplies, if needed.
In the event of a mechanical failure in which your bicycle can no longer be ridden, it will be replaced by your local Support Team.
Bicycle Rental (Optional)
Hybrid / touring bikes are available for $25.00 per day and include:
21 / 24 speeds (Shimano components)
choice of pedals (regular, cages,
or your own*)
handlebar bag with map carrier
odometer
lock
water bottle cage (water bottles not included)
rear rack
air pump, tire irons, and a spare tube
helmets are generally available upon request
* For those choosing to ride with clips, you'll need to bring your own pedals for installation on your rental bike.
