The Sugar Maple Trailside Inn B&B
The Sugar Maple Trailside Inn is a recently restored 1865 Colonial home with Italianate
characteristics that in 2003 was awarded the City of Northampton's Historic Preservation Award. Renovated to offer modern comforts, our two air-conditioned
guestrooms feature private bathrooms with showers, quiet surroundings, antique furnishings, large closets, and pleasant views of the adjacent rail trail.
An expanded continental breakfast is served with a choice of various fresh
juices, bagels, muffins, scones, yogurts, and seasonal fruits. Piping hot coffee and various herbal teas are always available.
The inn also boasts one of the region's largest collections of antique railroad
maps, documents, and just plain books on the history of the railroads in the northeast. Peruse our library and relax on our cozy 3-season porch or take a
bike ride on the rail-trail next to the inn.

The Knoll B&B
The Knoll, a spacious 12-room house of country Tudor design was built in 1910 and has been operated as a bed and breakfast since 1982. All floors are wooden
throughout the house with many Oriental rugs scattered about. A lovely open staircase leads to the second floor where the 4 guestrooms are located. One room
has twin beds and the others have double beds. These rooms share two baths, one with a large cast iron tub and the other with a claw footed tub and add-on
shower. Breakfast is served in the paneled formal dining room.
The Knoll is situated on 17 acres of farmland and forest in the Florence residential section of Northampton. The Knoll sits well back from Route 9,
providing a peaceful atmosphere for a good nights rest. There is an acre of lawn in the front of the house with a large circular driveway leading up to the front door.
Location: Florence (just west of Northampton),
about 3.0 miles northwest of downtown Northampton. Easy access via the
Northampton Bikeway. Please note: Florence has a
variety of dining options.
