Frog Meadow is a unique country bed and breakfast catering exclusively to
men. Located atop Newfane Hill where the village of Newfane was originally built
(the entire village was moved 1000 vertical feet and two miles down the road to
its present site in 1820), Frog Meadow offers a setting of extraordinary natural
beauty and historic significance. It offers three types of accommodations (two
standard double rooms in the main house, a large barn suite which sleeps up to
six, and a small, secluded cottage) in a clothing-optional environment. The
accommodations are very well appointed. Please note that the rooms in the main house share a
bath and guests in the cottage must walk 300 yards to the main house for use of
a bath. Amenities include onsite professional massage service, gym, wireless
internet, a pristine 12-foot deep brook-fed pond for swimming, a wood fired hot
tub overlooking the gardens, an outdoor shower next to the hot tub, extensive
hiking trails, and lovely, comfortable common areas. A full country breakfast is
served daily.
Because the climb up to Frog Meadow is long and challenging, it's
best suited to travelers seeking a comfortable, clothing optional (and potentially
playful), retreat-like atmosphere from which one does not stray for the duration (the owner
has agreed to arrange an on-site dinner service for Diverse Directions customers
with advance notice).
For travelers planning excursions on their free day in Newfane
however (ie: visit to the Rock River's gay nude swimming hole, dinner out, etc),
the challenge of climbing the hill up to Frog Meadow multiple times should be
taken under consideration.
