The Chester House B&B
Located on the Village Green the Chester House is one of the most beautiful and historic structures in the town. Built in 1780 and charmingly maintained through the centuries, the Inn and its guest suites and rooms are furnished and decorated throughout with family heirlooms and collected antiques that reflect the genteel lifestyle of colonial America. And being right on the quaint Village Green put us across the street from fine restaurants and interesting shops.
The Inn has seven beautifully-appointed guest rooms; four of these are suites. Each of the seven guest rooms has its own private bath, a phone, voice-mail, air conditioning in the warmer months, and both free wireless (Wi-Fi) and dial-up Internet connectivity. Five of the rooms have gas fireplaces which operate in the cooler months. Several have luxurious canopy beds and a comfortable sitting area. One room has a whirlpool, one a Jacuzzi, and another a two-person steam shower.
At the center of the Chester House is the Keeping Room with it's original 1780 wood-burning grand fireplace. Guests enjoy the Keeping Room for reading, TV, board games or just sitting in front of the roaring fire (in winter). Adjoining the Keeping Room is the Dining Room with its majestic copper, brass and wood ceiling. Here we serve a full gourmet breakfast daily between 8:00
am and 9:00 am.

The Inn Victoria B&B
This beautiful Victorian inn, located on the village green, was built circa 1850 as a family residence for Dr. Abram Lowell (who gave his name to the nearby lake and state park). He used the small building to the side (now Mr. Brown's Cottage) as his medical office. The building was later enlarged (circa 1880) by his son in law, George Hilton, who added the third story and mansard roof in the typical grandiose French second empire fashion. Known for many years as the Hilton house, Inn Victoria is the only example of this architectural style in the historic town of Chester.
All rooms and suites at our romantic Vermont bed and breakfast are named after Queen Victoria's children, with the exception of the Cottage, which has been named after Queen Victoria's legendary, Mr. Brown.
Each room features fresh flowers, fluffy robes and towels, beautiful antique furniture, seasonal air conditioning, flat-screen TVs with DVD players, iPhone radio/clock system, and Wi-Fi. Most rooms at Inn Victoria have fireplaces; some have a private deck with hot tub. In traditional English style, each room is uniquely appointed. For the ladies who love to soak and relax in a tub, our rooms with Jacuzzis or claw-foot tubs offer an exceptional experience. The number one consideration at any bed and breakfast should be a good night's sleep, and that means a high-quality bed and sleep system.
Each bed has a current mattress with feather mattress topper, triple sheets, as many pillows as you'd like, and a guaranteed "sleeping on a cloud" experience with 1500 count sheets.

Henry Farm Inn
Nestled between a sloping meadow and sparkling river, with fifty-six acres of forested foothills and a spring-fed swimming pond, the Henry Farm Inn is a haven of tranquility in a natural setting. The Inn offers guests nine spacious, sunny bedrooms, all with private baths; a comfortable country dining room; a guest parlor with a working fireplace; and ample space for relaxing and mingling with fellow guests.
The Henry Farm Inn holds a significant place in Chester's history. Our well-maintained two hundred year old farmhouse was the first tavern in Chester, when it served as a stagecoach stop on the Green Mountain Turnpike. In colonial times this turnpike ran from Boston to Montreal, but now is a quiet, picturesque dirt road for us to treasure, perfect for biking, walking or a peaceful drive off the beaten path. The Henry Farm Inn offers a private country setting, but is only minutes away from the charming and historic Victorian village of Chester.
The Henry Farm Inn has retained the charm of its earlier days and we welcome guests who appreciate the Inn for its authenticity and simple early American decor. When you arrive we'll give you the "grand tour" to see for yourself how our rooms are enhanced by the original wide pumpkin-pine floors (the largest one measures almost two feet wide!), our eight Rumford fireplaces, original hand-hewn beams, a beehive oven in the dining room fireplace, a hearth oven in our wonderful country kitchen, authentic Moses Eaton stenciling, and, Chester's first hot water bathtub.
