The Latchis Hotel

The Latchis Hotel is a 30 room, full-service hotel located in the center of downtown Brattleboro. Built in 1938, much of this landmark's original art deco style has been retained over the years. Most notable is the hotel's location. For travelers arriving by train, the Latchis Hotel is a 5-minute walk from the Amtrak station.  Forty Putney Road Bed & Breakfast

The Forty Putney Road Bed & Breakfast is a warm, classically appointed 6-room bed & breakfast located just north of Brattleboro's downtown area. Constructed in 1931 as the residence of the superintendent of the Vermont Lunatic Asylum for the Insane (now called the Brattleboro Retreat), its French Baronial architecture gives it the appearance of an elegant French chateau overlooking the Retreat Meadows, the scenic mouth of the West River.
